These are also used for providing corrosion protection to the metallic parts of the cable that are exposed to polluted environments. They also find application in providing moisture proof protection to corrosion prone pipelines, process accessories etc. Wrap around sleeves provide an economic solution to cable damage repairs which would otherwise necessitate the use of additional length of cable and joints which are comparatively costlier.
